In competitive Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and PUBG Mobile, gyroscope control is one of the biggest steps up from casual play. With a well-tuned gyroscope you can tilt your phone to pull down recoil and track enemies more smoothly than with your thumb alone.

1. Understanding the 3 Sensitivity Layers in BGMI

Camera Sensitivity (Free Look & Swiping): Controls how fast your screen rotates when you swipe your thumb across the display without firing.
ADS (Aim Down Sight) Sensitivity: Controls thumb drag speed while shooting. If you are a Full Gyro player, ADS sensitivity should be kept moderate to avoid conflicting with your phone tilt.
Gyroscope Sensitivity: Controls camera rotation speed when tilting the physical hardware sensor of your phone. Essential for mid-range tracking and vertical recoil suppression.

3. The 6X-at-3X Trick for M416 Sprays

A popular setup for mid-range fights is to put a 6X scope on the M416 or another AR and use the zoom slider to pull it down to 3X. You get a 3X view with the 6X reticle, and many players find it easier to control than a normal 3X.

    Test it yourself: Sensitivity for a zoomed-down 6X can feel different from a normal 3X. In Training Grounds, spray the same wall with a 3X and with a 6X set to 3X. If one feels much faster or slower, adjust its slider until both feel the same.
  

4. Does Your Phone Have a Real Gyroscope?

Different smartphones use different Inertial Measurement Units (IMU sensors):

Hardware Gyroscope: A real gyroscope sensor, found on most mid-range and flagship phones. Tilt response is quick and smooth.
No gyroscope / software estimate: Some budget phones have no real gyroscope sensor. If the gyroscope option in BGMI is missing or the camera drifts and lags when you tilt, your phone probably lacks one. In that case, turn gyro off and rely on ADS (finger) sensitivity instead.

Should Gyroscope Always On be enabled?

Most competitive gyro players use Always On because it allows instant hip-fire camera adjustment during close-range 1v1 jiggle fights without having to open your scope first.

Why does my screen shake during long sprays?

Screen shaking occurs when your 3X or 4X gyroscope sensitivity is set too high for your hand stability. Reduce your 3X Gyro sensitivity by 15–20 points until your crosshair holds completely still.
